Racing
Nitro District
★★★★☆ 4.2
Nitro District is pure arcade racing, and it knows exactly what it wants to be. You tilt or tap to steer, the drifting is forgiving but skill-rewarding, and the neon-soaked city tracks give a real feeling of speed once you unlock the faster cars.
Car handling changes noticeably between vehicles, so upgrading isn't just bigger numbers — a heavier car genuinely corners differently. We spent a while just replaying our favourite track to shave seconds off a lap, which is a good sign for a racer.
The soundtrack is loud and repetitive, so you'll probably mute it, but the actual driving holds up over long play sessions.
What we liked
- Forgiving but satisfying drift mechanics
- Cars that genuinely handle differently
- Strong sense of speed on every track
