About
Pocket Playbook started as a group chat between four friends who kept comparing notes on the games we downloaded during commutes. At some point we realised the notes were more useful than most of the guides we found online, so we turned them into a proper site.
We're a small editorial team, not a marketing agency. Everyone here actually installs the game, plays past the first easy hour, and only then sits down to write. If a game bores us by day two, we say so.,We pick games by watching what people around us are playing and by digging through new releases across genres. We deliberately mix things up — a racing game one week, a slow strategy title the next — because we don't want to become the 'puzzle site' or the 'RPG site'.,Nobody pays us to feature a game. When you read a rating here it's just the honest opinion of whoever put the hours in, argued about it with the rest of us, and pressed publish.
Lukas Brandt — Lukas has been writing about games for over a decade and still finishes every campaign he starts. He handles most of the strategy and RPG coverage on the site.
